What to know about the field
Boujee Pet Grooming School and Academy does not guarantee employment. Florida does not require licensure or certification to work as a pet groomer.
We share this transparently because you deserve a clear picture before you enroll. Most graduates begin work at local salons or build a private clientele within weeks.
Things future students always ask.
Why choose the 600-Hour over the 300-Hour Foundation?
The 600-Hour Advanced graduates students with the breed-standard precision, corrective grooming, and business knowledge to run solo grooms in a salon — or open their own. If you're aiming at salon ownership, AKC-style grooming, or a portfolio for show work, the Advanced track is the right one.
Do I need a high school diploma or GED?
Yes — or you can pass the Wonderlic Ability to Benefit (ATB) test (200 Verbal / 210 Quantitative). The 300-Hour program does not require a diploma or GED.
Can I transfer credits from another grooming school?
Contact admissions for transfer credit consideration. We evaluate prior education on a case-by-case basis.
What's the typical job outlook for 600-Hour graduates?
Florida groomer salaries range $39K–$61K+ per Bureau of Labor Statistics data, with experienced groomers and salon owners earning more. We provide career placement support but do not guarantee employment.
Classes start every Monday. Where will you be 12 weeks from now?
Schedule a tour with our admissions team to explore the academy, ask questions, and find the grooming program that fits your career goals.
