Frequently asked questions
Booking, sizing, and what to expect.
How do I know what size my dog is?
Sizing is based on weight: Small (under 20 lbs), Medium (20–40 lbs), Large (40–70 lbs), X-Large (70+ lbs). When in doubt, call us — we'll confirm during booking.
How long does a groom take?
Most appointments take 2–3 hours. Bath packages on small dogs can finish in 90 minutes; full grooms on long-coated XL breeds can run up to 4 hours. We'll give you a pickup window when you book.
What should I bring for my pet's first appointment?
Please bring your pet's vaccination records (rabies and bordetella), a current photo if you have a specific cut in mind, and any notes about temperament or sensitivities. Arrive 5–10 minutes early so we can do a quick coat assessment.
Are services performed by students or licensed groomers?
All services are performed by enrolled students under direct supervision of a licensed AKC S.A.F.E. instructor. The instructor reviews every step and signs off on the final groom before pickup.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give at least 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel. No-shows or same-day cancellations may be charged a small fee. Call 786-351-6343 to update your appointment.
Do you offer mobile or pickup grooming?
Not at this time — all services are performed at our Hialeah salon at 1165 W 49th St #205 B. Free parking is available on-site.
