Boujee Pet Grooming School and Academy

Boujee Pet Grooming School and Academy opened its doors in 2026 — but our story started long before that. We're the educational sister of Boujee Pet Services, the South Florida luxury grooming operation that's earned more than 891 five-star Google reviews running mobile and salon grooming across Miami-Dade and Broward. After watching too many aspiring groomers struggle to find structured, hands-on training, we built the school we wished existed when we were starting out.

The school was founded by Yasniel Carmona and Mirlyns Rodriguez — a leadership team that came to pet grooming from non-traditional paths. Yasniel spent fifteen years in private banking and wealth management, most recently as SVP Senior Private Banker at Citibank Private Banking. Mirlyns spent thirteen years across HSBC, JPMorgan Chase, and Citibank in relationship and risk management. Both earned MBAs in Finance and went through AKC's Pet Groomer Certification together. What began as an entrepreneurial pivot became a calling — and a teaching practice rooted in operational discipline and genuine care for the work.

In 2026, after years of running the Boujee Pet Services salon at 1165 W 49th St., we received approval from the Florida Commission for Independent Education (CIE), Florida Department of Education to operate as a licensed postsecondary career-track institution. Today our students train on real client pets — the same pets the salon serves — under licensed instructors. They graduate with a diploma the industry recognizes, the Artero professional tool kit they trained with, and the confidence to walk into a salon floor on day one.
